Cera grew up in Tunisia, a background she credits for her "outsider" perspective. When she moved to Berlin in 2013, she didn't initially intend to be a DJ. She worked in a record shop and spent years absorbing the city's diverse sounds—from experimental noise to classic electro. This period of "active listening" is why her sets feel so curated; she possesses a deep knowledge of music history that allows her to mix 90s rave classics with futuristic industrial sounds seamlessly.
