FRIDAY JAN. 10th UPSILONE makes his debut in GOYA
Upsilone, always accompanied by his white glasses, presents us with a very serious project. Don’t be mistaken: much like Philippe Katerine, Vladimir Cauchemar, or the early days of Martin Solveig, Upsilone has ideas, expertise, and a great deal of self-deprecation. It was almost inevitable—at 12 years old, he began learning the piano and was already drawn to electronic music and French producer DJs like Daft Punk, Bob Sinclar, and Martin Solveig, who left a lasting impression on him and inspired him to develop his musical project.
He belongs to Generation Z, a group that does it all on their own: lyrics, melodies, production, videos... This is the new self-taught generation, well in tune with the times, its codes, and its formats.
Some discovered him through his Instagram tutorials, "How to Make a Hit," which are a big success and demystify the creation of popular songs by highlighting the samples used. Others got to know him through his remixes of David Guetta’s "Like I Do," Vladimir Cauchemar’s "Brrr," or his track "Bodies Movin’" with its disco-funk vibes and modern twists.
His unique style blends melodies from the ’80s with more contemporary electro-pop sounds, influenced by artists like Justice and Breakbot.
