La vie nocturne à Johannesburg est assez similaire à celle du Cap. Les gens sortent dîner ou boire un verre vers 20 heures, puis se rendent dans les bars et les clubs pour faire la fête jusqu'au bout de la nuit.
Des festivals tels que We Love Summer, Lighthouse Festival et Ultra attirent également beaucoup de monde à Johannesburg chaque année. Les meilleurs soirs pour sortir sont le jeudi, le vendredi et le samedi. Il y a aussi d'autres attractions amusantes et populaires à Johannesburg, comme aller voir des matchs de rugby. Johannesburg est davantage une ville d'affaires et de travail, c'est là que tout se passe en Afrique du Sud pour les personnes qui veulent donner un coup de pouce à leur carrière.
Les meilleurs quartiers pour sortir dans les quartiers les plus populaires de Johannesburg sont Sandton, Melville et Braamfontein, chacun offrant une atmosphère et une expérience gastronomique uniques.
Sandton est plus haut de gamme, c'est le quartier où les hommes d'affaires sortent et vous y verrez plus d'internationaux. Rosebank est connu pour ses bars et ses clubs branchés. C'est un endroit idéal pour sortir et danser avec des amis.
IIIlovo - Ce quartier est connu pour ses pubs locaux et ses lieux de rencontre, et c'est une destination populaire pour se détendre après le travail. Allez y boire un verre ou goûter à la cuisine locale.
Fourways est un quartier qui s'adresse aux étudiants et aux locaux, connu pour son ambiance décontractée et qui compte de nombreux bars et options pour se divertir.
Cependant, comme dans toute grande ville, certains quartiers de Johannesburg sont à éviter pour des raisons de sécurité. Il est important de prendre les précautions nécessaires et de faire attention à ce qui vous entoure, surtout la nuit, dans des quartiers comme Hillbrow et Berea.
Comme dans le reste de l'Afrique du Sud, les sorties à Johannesburg ne sont pas très chères, surtout si vous venez d'Europe ou d'autres pays occidentaux. Vous pourrez vous offrir plusieurs verres, même avec un budget limité et si vous voulez sortir à tout prix, comptez environ deux tiers de ce que vous dépenseriez en Europe.
Si vous allez à Sandton, habillez-vous bien, à Rosebank et Illovo, vous pouvez vous habiller de manière décontractée. Il en va de même à Braamfontein, où une tenue décontractée suffit.
Les restaurants haut de gamme et la plupart des clubs ne vous laisseront pas entrer si vous portez des boardshorts et des tongs, tout comme dans la plupart des pays du monde ! ;) Le climat est similaire à celui du Cap : il fait chaud en été et il peut faire très froid en hiver.
